Our process includes a discovery call to map your specific technical needs, presentation of engineer profiles that match your stack and required seniority, direct technical interviews conducted by you to validate skills and cultural fit, and onboarding with access setup for GitHub, AWS, Jira, and other tools in your stack. Most of our clients have a productive squad in less than two weeks, compared to the three to six months a traditional hiring process takes in the United States.

ll our engineers undergo a rigorous vetting process before becoming eligible for squads. This includes live coding evaluations, system design interviews, and portfolio project reviews. We only accept engineers with at least 3 years of professional experience building production-grade products, most of whom have a background working for US or European tech companies. Additionally, you conduct your own technical interviews directly with candidates before approving them, just as you would with any internal hire. There are no surprises: the level you see in the interview is exactly what you get. If any engineer does not meet expectations during the engagement, we replace them at no additional cost.

The fundamental difference is timezone and communication. LATAM Nearshore means your engineers are in GMT-5 to GMT-3, which is compatible with US Eastern, Central, and Pacific time zones. This allows for synchronous standups at 9:00 AM, real-time code reviews during your workday, and immediate incident response if production fails at 2:00 PM. With offshore teams in India or Ukraine, you face 8 to 12-hour gaps that force async communication, midnight meetings for one side, and 24-hour delays in resolving critical blockers. Furthermore, English proficiency and cultural alignment with US work methodologies are significantly stronger in LATAM compared to other offshore regions.

Squads are dedicated exclusively to your project for the duration of the engagement. We do not share engineers across multiple clients simultaneously. When you assign a squad of four engineers, they work full-time on your roadmap, report to your engineering manager or tech lead, and are available during your full office hours. Think of it as having four remote W2 employees in terms of dedication and availability, but without the overhead of hiring, payroll, benefits, and HR management.

We offer a replacement guarantee at no cost. If an engineer chooses to leave voluntarily or is not meeting performance expectations based on your metrics, we replace them with an engineer of equivalent or higher seniority within a maximum of two weeks. During this transition period, we provide a temporary backfill with another engineer from our bench so you don’t lose capacity while we find a permanent replacement. We also perform structured knowledge transfers when turnover occurs to minimize loss of context. Our historical turnover rate is less than 10% annually—compared to the typical 30% in US tech—so replacements are relatively rare, but they are contractually covered when they do happen.
